I def need to do more Z2. I also never cared much about longevity (thought I was invincible) til I had kids and then had ambition to stay on this earth with them as long as possible.
I found this very helpful. Particularly at the end with the structure of: 2-4 strength training sessions, 3-4 Zone 2 @ 45 minutes, 1-2 true VO2 max intervals.
As I've begun working towards living a more simple and faithful life, it has dawned on me that the walks I take are a huge part of my physical and mental health. Something about this made me start rethinking my almost daily lifting and HIIT training for exercising. I think doing activities that are natural and part of a full life are a good way to guide what your workout routine should look like. I will definitely be reading this book!
