7 years in the making

Several years ago I had a plan to create a private club. Venue space to hold talks and events. Other endeavors took priority. In 2024 this may happen. The first tranche of members would likely be limited to 100. That’s not a way to create artificial scarcity. Square footage in physical world has limitations, and we don’t want to create a situation where members can’t get in because it’s too crowded. We may extend membership after the first release, or maybe not.

Early demand suggests we will sell out quickly.

I can foresee a situation where there is too much demand for membership. People join. They want to refer new members, but we won’t have physical space. Or we’d really have to push the capacity.

We’d like to avoid those growing pains and have thought of a way to square the circle of preempting too much demand.

What I don’t need. Please don’t email me a reply with a bunch of questions. Experience shows me that tire kickers are the biggest time wasters in the world.
