Abortion, Voting, and Moral Compromises

What does it mean to be pro-life?

With a historically consequential election coming in November, numerous pro-life activists have decided to build their personal brands by attacking Donald Trump for “not being pro-life enough.” I think we should take their arguments at face value, while asking some of our own of them.

Disclaimer: I oppose all political violence. The examples below are what you’d discuss in any Ethics 101 class, so don’t try any crap, or say I am winking and nodding at bad action.

“Abortion is murder.”

Let’s assume people mean this when they say it.

Imagine you’re walking down the street and see children lined up by the side of the road. Hundreds of them. A masked man is walking down the line, shooting a child. One-by-one. Another child dead.

• Would you be morally justified to intervene?

• Would you have the moral courage to intervene?

Most people would say, Yes, to both questions.

Consider now that a police officer was next to the masked man. The police officer said you cannot intervene. Shooting children in the head is legal, and if you take action, you’ll be arrested and ruined financially. The man begins shooting children.

• Would you be morally justified to intervene?

• Would you have the moral courage to intervene?

The above hypothetical frustrates pro-life pundits because it forces them to admit one of the following truths about themselves:

1. They do not believe, “Abortion is murder.” That’s a slogan. Or metaphor.

2. They do believe, “Abortion is murder,” and they aren’t willing to risk their cozy existences to do much about it.

Two Parties, One Country’s view on abortion.

65% of Americans support first trimester abortion. 65% of Americans oppose late term abortion.

In Europe, voters were able to democratically decide on abortion instead of having that issue taken away from them by the fake case law of Roe v. Wade.

European abortion laws are much stricter than in the United States:

ITALY - The traditionally Catholic country has allowed terminations within 90 days of conception since 1978, but accessing an abortion can be difficult. About 63% of gynaecologists refuse to perform the procedure on moral or religious grounds, according to 2021 data from the Health Ministry.

SPAIN - Parliament approved legislation last year allowing girls aged 16 and 17 to have abortions without parental consent. The law also removed a mandatory three-day "reflection" period for women seeking terminations. Spain's 2010 abortion reform allowed women to end unwanted pregnancies on demand within 14 weeks, or up to 22 weeks in cases of severe foetal abnormalities.

GERMANY - Women can only have a legal abortion within 12 weeks of conception if they submit to counselling and other formal restrictions.

Liberals always insist that American should have “European style healthcare.” It would be a massive win for the pro-life movement if the U.S. had laws similar to most Western European nations.

Late term abortion is so demonic that Jen Psaki, former Biden press secretly, claimed that Democrats don’t support it.

The Vote You are Casting in November.

America is a winner-take-all, two-party political system. You don’t get to vote a third party “on principle,” because the United States isn’t a parliamentary system. You are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, or Donald J Trump and JD Vance.

Harris and Walz support taxpayer funded abortions. Under the Biden Harris administration, the Pentagon began paying for “abortion vacations,” in violation of federal law. You will pay for abortions of Kamala Harris becomes President of the United States. You are paying for abortions now, under Joe Biden.

As Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz signed legislation allowing abortion up to the time of the delivery of a full grown baby.

You cannot be pro-life and vote for anyone but Donald Trump.

Purity tests are something we apply to others.

“Donald Trump is not pro-life enough,” they say, while those same voices enrich themselves off of the pro-life movement.

It’s my personal belief that pro-life voices are being paid by dark money groups to divide the Trump vote. This is an obvious conclusion to reach, given the complete lack of interest that’s being shown by the “purists” when abortion measures are on the ballot.

How is it pro-life to try getting people not to vote Trump, when they could be driving efforts to get people to vote on measures like Amendment Four in Florida?

People are waking up to these destructive and divisive tactics.

There are a lot of scammers and bad actors within the “Christian” and “conservative” movement. They wear a skinsuit of the religion and seek to divide. If someone has to tell you they are Christian, that’s a hint. Why isn’t it obvious from their hearts, their spirits, their vibe?

We must have spiritual discernment. We must stop letting people role play as prayer breakfast Christians as they loot the country.

Vote for results. Trump got them. George W. Bush did not.
